Silver Moments is specially created to remind us to always think of 'when you drink water, think of its source,' which means gratitude for blessings and their wellspring. We have dedicated this program to the residents of Lee Ah Mooi Old Age Home.
We have dedicated this programme to the residents in Lee Ah Mooi Old Age Home to :
o Promote a sense of community engagement and social responsibility in individuals, fostering a culture of compassion and care within society
o Provide emotional support to the seniors by spending quality time with them
o Foster a sense of intergenerational connection
The session promises to be a pleasant and relaxing experience, fostering sharing and bonding among the residents while they participate in invigorating exercises and engaging games/activities. A variety of activities will be on offer to ensure the residents' active involvement. Your presence is sure to bring joy to their days, so get ready to listen to some wonderful stories and prepare for an enjoyable workout!
Your Role as a Volunteer
=========================
o Assist in communicating with seniors
o Assist in distribution of food for the seniors
o Assist in activities planned for the residents (Mahjong, Art & Craft, Nail painting etc)
Event Format
=============
1.00pm – 1.15pm Attendance Taking
1.15pm – 1.30pm Volunteers Briefing
1.30pm – 2.00pm Distribution of Tea Break
2.00pm – 4.00pm Activities with the seniors
4.00pm – 4.30pm Debrief & Wrap-Up
Important Note
=============
To protect the residents, kindly bring and wear a mask at all times while on the premise of Lee Ah Mooi Old Age Home and practise good personal hygiene at all times.
Registration Policy
===================
- Events are subject to changes or cancellation at anytime prior to event.
- Should there be any changes about the event , registered and waitlist volunteers will be notified via email.
- Each volunteer registration allows a maximum of 5 people. We would highly encourage each individual to register for their account as the system would send an automated reminder to the registered email. If you are coming in a group bigger than 5, please have another friend to register. This will help to update the volunteer count and the community know which event needs more volunteers.
- Volunteers are highly encouraged to update your registration if there are changes to your attendance. And you can help the us anticipate the number of volunteers turning up, and how many more to recruit.
