Who We Are?
The EtonHouse Community Fund (ECF) is an independent IPC charity that focuses on improving the lives of less privileged children and youth. It was launched by EtonHouse International Education Group in 2015. The ECF has over the years championed causes that have benefitted children and youth from low-income families. We received the MSF Cares Award in 2019 for our initiatives. Some of our programmes include a mindfulness programme for at-risk youth in 9 different Homes to enhance their emotional well-being. In collaboration with the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF), we also launched an Internship programme for at-risk youth. We are a partner for Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA)'s KidSTART playgroup sites, providing low-income families with access to learning resources, learning kits and sponsorship of excursions. To enhance children's cognitive development, we support them with enrichment classes, as well as CDA top-ups and bursaries. We also support the KKH Health Fund in improving the care of less privileged children with diabetes. Lastly, our annual "Box of Joy" initiative has distributed more than 8000 gift boxes to children in Singapore.
In 2020, we rolled out a series of initiatives to support the community during the Covid19 crisis. These include reaching out to beneficiaries with home learning kits, laptops and Wifi devices for them to access home-based learning, a financial assistance scheme to help families whose incomes and jobs were affected. To help children understand the Covid19, we published 3 children's books as well as produced The Germ Buster, a game about health and hygiene practices. For our Covid support, we were nominated for the President’s Volunteerism and Philanthropy Awards 2020 and received a letter of appreciation and certificate from Singapore's President Halimah Yacob.
